About the Artist

Caroline Garrett is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor in Vinyasa (flow yoga) 230 hours. Ms. Garrett combines instruction in the yogic practices of pranayama and asanas with the meditative art of creating mandalas. Caroline's workshops and retreats facilitate healing, pain relief, and self-discovery. As an artist, she works in multi- mediums, inlcuding digital art. Ms. Garrett earned her MFA in printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI. She received an MA in Book Arts from Ohio State University and her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. She is the author and illustrator of Sarah's Bead, Divine Mirror Press, 2000, and has illustrated several other books, including book covers for the series Sara and Friends of a Feather, by Esther and Jerry Hicks, and The Forest Friends Series, by Penny Ledbetter, Catawba Publications. Caroline's workshops and retreats combine her yoga training with mandala art. Garrett began her study of mandalas for healing with Judith Cornell, Ph.D. in 1995. Dr. Cornell's visualization and meditation techniques form the basis of Garrett's mandala yoga workshops. Ms. Garrett has received mandala facilitation training from Dr. Judith Cornell, founder/director, Mandala facilitation trainings.
